Fiji Coral Coast Sightseeing & Attractions

When you land at Nadi International Airport, on the beautiful island of Viti Levu, just north of the Coral Coast, it’s time to start your Fiji holidays. The Coral Coast, with its vast range of things to see and do and some of the most beautiful accommodation in the Fiji Islands, is the ideal starting point.

There are plenty of tourist companies on offer, with knowledge of the best places to go or, if you prefer, contact one of the Coral Coast car rental firms in Nadi, Fiji, such as well-known company, Avis. Car rental is largely safe and affordable. With 80 klms of reef-fringed beaches, traditional villages and expanses of tropical scenery, take a Fiji map and you can’t go wrong.

Now, where to go? Kula Bird Park, near Outrigger on the Lagoon Resort, is Fiji’s only native bird and animal zoo. Kalevu Cultural Centre close to Shangri-la Resort offers traditional dance displays and great food at Gecko’s restaurant. The centre is a feast of Fiji village culture, lifestyle and history.

The Tavuni Hill Fort is a restored site of considerable historical significance dating back to 1788. Guided tours are available.

Sigatoka Market is another must-see where the people of the Sigatoka Valley come to sell their produce.

The Fiji weather is mild tropical, with the dry season from May to October, possibly the best time to luxuriate on one of the Coral Coast cruises of Fiji, scuba dive on a coral reef or just to relax on a secluded Fiji beach.
